Dinner at Royal Angkor Hospital. Yesterday afternoon out in the village I became disabled with kidney pain and had to spend the next two nights in the hospital. Aside from feeling pretty miserable, it was an interesting experience. Old and new friends alike visited me and helped take care of me, and the hospital (probably the best in Cambodia) was clean and professional. For meals, they let me order from a menu and then brought the food from a local restaurant. That's papaya on the left, which I don't like at all... but I ate it anyway and was thankful for it. The vegetable soup was really good. The doctor recommended that I not eat meat.
