Today's is not an especially pretty picture, but I like the symbolism of the end of one life and the beginning of another, and how the rain lily has sprung up to add beauty in such a bleak setting. I found this near the place where my son's Boy Scout troop met tonight. We arrived a bit early, and I hadn't taken any photos yet today, so I took my camera into the woods and found hundreds of rain lilies blooming after the recent (and much-needed) rain. Only one flower, though, was growing in such a remarkable spot.
