This is my only photo from Thursday, so you're stuck with it! It's a National Geodetic Survey benchmark disk about 3 inches across, that's been there since 1949. To find it yourself, go "7.0 mi SE from Grapevine. In Dallas County, 1 block west along E. Texas street from the U.S. Post Office at Grapevine, thence 1.1 miles south along Main Street, thence 5.4 miles east along State Highway 114, thence 0.4 mile south along Belt Line Rd., and thence 0.1 mile west along Cabell Dr., at a concrete highway bridge, in the top of the north end of the east concrete abutment, and 16.7 feet north of the centerline of the road.”
