Colour commotion...

This is great. Can I ask how do you get such a clean white background? Is it in processing or when you stage the shot or both?

@kr57 hey Karl, thank you :)
It's a little bit of both really. The white is a piece of foam core board, just from a craft store. I set it so it's facing a window and also use just a cheap fold out reflector to get rid of any shadows, I tend to slightly over expose my shots, to get it brighter than it would usually expose for, and yes I bump up the brightness in post processing. I didn't do a great job on this shot, you can see some darkening in the bottom right corner which I suspect is my head blocking the light when I took the pic. You can only do so much in post and I'm only using my phone for this P365 project. If I was using my DSLR I could have removed that with a mask, but I don't want this to become too time consuming, as I know I won't get through the year if I did that, so everything is done on my phone, using various apps. I hope that explains it :)

Interesting reading how you did it. I love your bright colour pictures. You have inspired me to post colourful things the past couple of days too!

Great shot technically and aesthetically! I love how you chose to have all the pencils in such sharp focus.
