Came accross this when we were having an evening ramble around Ramsholt. It was around 8 p.m. When we passed the field later on our way home it was all done.
@jimmyveee How true, My husband David was born and raised on a Suffolk farm. He was telling me tonight about harvesting back in the '50s when there was no cab on the harvester and the men would wear kerchiefs around their mouths to protect them from the dust. His Uncle Eddie would ride on the back bagging up! Sounds terrifying.
It's a very hard life and you have to be fit and healthy to maintain it. Great photo. They are harvesting everywhere here too, before the rain returns.
