At the wonderful Endsleigh House Hotel just outside Tavistock. Highly recommended. You need to book and its 17.50 a head but worth every penny. There is a two hour walk you can take around the gardens designed by Humphrey Repton and they are fabulous. You can also play croquet on the lawn. The tea is great, they will keep on bringing sandwiches as long as you can eat them, and you should see the cakes!
