Under the nut tree

The leaves are taken forever to fall this year and the colours are nowhere near as beautiful as they were last year. I wonder why?

The seasons have been so mixed up this year. I noticed some new blossom on the trees when I was out and about yesterday. Just hope we are not in for a severe winter

I don't know what makes or prevents good fall colour. Ours has been especially lovely this year, but we've had years when it was more like what you've experienced this year.
