Gun Lane by lellie

Gun Lane

Gun Lane is really only a footpath from the High Road. It's the way I go back home from the Post Office/paper shop when I don't want to walk down the road.It leads to field edge paths and other paths. The gun is reputed to have been bought back from tha Spanish Armada by Trimley's famous son Thomas Cavendish.
It's looking a bit the worse for wear but has stood there as long as I can remember.
Keep it up Lesley, I'm learning such a lot about Trimley from you!

Interesting history, love the moss growing on the brick wall :-)

History is a wonderful thing - and you have so much of it. Nice shot. The wall looks a little worse for wear too.

I like the brick wall in this shot. In certain moods I think I'd enjoy walking this way much more than taking the High Road.
