After spending the morning at the orphanage Martin and I swung by Cafe de Norasingha which is located in the Phaya Thai Palace. It was a lovely lunch in beautiful surroundings :)
Hi, I'm looking at all your Thailand photos carefully at the moment, a friend has invited me to visit them in Bangkok for a week with a chance of a long weekend away - I'm torn between Krabi and Khao Yai - which would you recommend if I coudl do only one?
@lbmcshutter - Hi Megan, how excting you might be going to Thailand :) When might you be going? The rainy season should be over by the the of October (give or take). The beach in the rain is not much fun. Krabi and Khao Yai are two such different place - beach and jungle, sure you can't make time for both?
@lily I have been to Bangkok dozens of times over the years and to Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai before. I have time to do both, but my friend has to work so can do only one, I guess I could go to Khao Yai alone and Krabi with my friend. I love wildlife photography and think Khao Yai looks like a good place to do it
@lbmcshutter - we loved Khao Yai, we rented a car and that worked out really well. Some friends of ours went without their own transportaion and didn't enjoy it so much. So if you can rent a car or scooter it'll be a lot easier to enjoy the park at your own pace :)
