Martin and Saga.
These days we go exploring in the massive forest behind the house looking for paths that will be good for horse riding :) Two more days before we pick them up! Will be getting a Fjordhorse which is a wonderful Norwegian breed, they are sturdy and mostly calm and sweet but sometimes also stubborn - and they are quite strong too. We haven't 100% decided on a name for our gelding yet but we are leaning towards the name Fjord :)
The other horse is a mare and she is half Arab half New Forest, she has a very special color which I can't figure out how to translate into English (and google translate is no help) but it is a kind of dapple. She is white/grey with lots of little reddish "freckles" - I think she is gorgeous! She has recently been "rescued" from a place where she did not get enough to eat. She wasn't being directly mistreated, the horses were being fed in the paddock and the other horses wouldn't let her eat. Still it is very irresponsible of the owners! She has now spent about 3 weeks with the lady that bought her from this place to try and find her a better home (us!) and she is already gaining weight nicely and looking much better :) She is still too thin though and we'll make sure to give her lots of nutritious food to get her back on track. We have picked a name for her already and it will be Blomme, which in English means plum :)
