Walking behind this dog at today's street festival, he passed other dogs and was perfectly well behaved. When he saw this "dog", however, he stopped and barked and circled...his owner didn't have much luck convincing him it was just a big toy...
It IS strange how they get so easily confused. My dog once refused to walk past an item with cheetah print and I'm sure she has never met a cheetah. That's not same situation as this but still in the category of not being able to distinguish replica from reality and how instincts are 'hardwired'.
