My daughter, Katy, has a rather extensive collection of eye shadows. I remember being excited about make-up when I was a teenager. I loved to experiment and try new things. Now that I’m older I’m not that into it. I suppose it’s that “lipstick on a pig” thing. Seems pointless to try and hide the obvious. Instead I’ve found a different way to play with make-up.
I really love this shot & its back ground story. I was never really into make-up (although I did sell Avon for awhile!) and I raised two boys, so I get a chuckle out of this. My goodness- who ever thought of all those eye-shadow colors!? And really, how does she choose one? (o:
I've tried so many make-up shots and never managed to make them work. This is a wonderful photo. I love the muted tones and the composition is fantastic.
