Beautiful Music

Now that my daughter has graduated from high school I wonder how often she’ll pick up her violin and play it. For the past seven years I have heard her progress from tuneless screeching to masterful musician. I know she’ll be busy in college, but I hope her violin doesn’t spend too much time in the solitary confinement of its case.
Lord, if she can play it, I certainly hope she keeps in practice. It is a gift, and this is (to me) the sweetest of all instruments.

I like the composition of this one. Hopefully she does continue with it - I picked my instrument (a not as cool as a violin, clarinet) back up once my kids were beginning to get interested and play instruments, too.

Great shot of a wonderful instrument. Yes, I hope she continues to play too because violin is such a hard instrument to really master. It'd be a shame to let all those hours of practicing fade away. Hopefully she will find a reason to keep up with it in college. I also like the perspective and composition on this- a nice touch with the music in there too.

I hope she does keep playing. I think it's wonderful to be able to play any instrument. Beautiful picture.

I hope she keeps it up! And, Lisa, this is a really great shot. I really like the composition... it makes the detail on the violin stand out.

Wonderful beautiful instrument & I hope it travels with her throughout her life. I like the angle that you took the photo plus the way the light is captured on the violin.

Well maybe with encouragement she will not allow it to slip away.

If she really loves it, she will not stop.
