Sleeping Beauty

I have several new flowers in bloom so I decided to take pictures in the garden this evening. I saw this dead bee clinging on to a spent rose blossom so I plucked the blossom off with the bee on it so I could get close up. I snapped a fed pictures and suddenly the dead bee started moving and then took off and flew away. I guess I must have interrupted his nap.

Certainly the best kind of bumblebee to photograph- he never moves and he won't sting. Nice close-up, great detail!
