On my way to another destination for picture taking, I passed this field full of baled hay. While it looks rural, right behind me was one of the busiest streets in our town. As I’ve said in a previous post I live in the fastest growing suburban area in our state, but small pockets of rural spaces still exist . Just over the top of the hill is a fairly new neighborhood. I hope this farmer never sells his land, but my gut tells me eventually he will.
We used to call these bales Elephant poo when we were kids...
I grew up in a small town like that... on the right side of our house was fields and kangaroos. and on the left was houses etc,..
I took a similar shot earlier this month...the farmer next to me had just finished haying...and I knew it without even seeing it since I couldn't stop sneezing. Great summer shot !
Interesting. Are the drying this under the sun? i saw hundreds of this in "The Amazing Race " its dried. the need to roll this to find the next clue.
Curious, how the hell this is able to roll like this. he he eh.
I love those rolled hay bales! So beautiful! I always think I'll stop and snap pictures when I see them, but I never do. Thanks for capturing this beautiful shot.
