Whoville by lisabell

Whoville

While taking a photo of this flower, I spotted little antennae coming over the top of the stamen. I could have sworn I heard little voices shouting “we’re here! we’re here” just like Horton the Elephant in “Horton Hears a Who!"
Well spotted - gorgeous photo with an added surprise!

@Cherrill Thank you for your enthusiastic comment! "Horton Hears a Who" is a book written by Dr. Seuss. Horton is an elephant that hears little voices on a speck of dust. He discovers that there is a little world called Whoville on the speck of dust, but can't convince anyone else. Dr. Seuss's books are very popular here in the States, but I'm unsure of whether he has worldwide appeal. He also wrote "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" that was made into a movie.
