Our united stance against going all out for Halloween has crumbled. Katy started it with her “just a few” decorations, then Bill added a little more, and then a little more. And finally I have caved as well. I bought the Giant Pixy Stix. We’ve given them out the last several years and now we have a reputation. I can hear the kids say as they approach the house “Yes! This is the house with the Giant Pixy Stix!!”. So much for taking a low-key approach this year.
Nice shot! I was a Pixy Stix fan when I was little! We trick or treated at the corner house every year (even tried changing costumes sometimes) because both the man and lady worked for a major candy company. They gave away BOXES of candy. We will forever remember that!
Oh, you are AWESOME! We have gone overboard when it comes to candy at Halloween. Last couple of years I've bought big candy bars, these giant Pixie Stix, regular sized Skittles, etc and let the kids pick whatever they want. If it's a slow night I make the kids pick out something for Mom or Dad too. And when the big kids come around at the end and I'm ready to close up shop, I'll dump my basket into their bags and be done. I love the looks they give me then! :o)
I love all the colors and stripes on your Pixy Stix. We no longer have trick or treating here in our community. Rather they have a gathering at the clubhouse and do Trunk or Treat. I guess it's easier for the kids to go car to car than house to house. So have fun handing all that candy out for me!
