Every week when I’m making my grocery list I ask everyone if they have any requests. Inevitably for the past few weeks my son has said kumquats. I don’t know why he has a sudden craving for them since I only bought them once several years ago just to see what they were all about. Every week after scouring the entire produce section, I come home kumquatless. Today he didn’t even bother to ask, so wouldn’t you know that when I wasn’t even looking I spied them nestled between the strawberries and grapes. I came home announced that I had found them, and my son actually paused his new video game to run downstairs to get them. That was this morning and they are ancient history now.
What an interesting story to go along with these lovely Kumquats. Nice texture and detail. I've actually never eaten one myself. I'll have to give them a try.
Great shot- can't believe he actually ate them! Here I thought he was just asking for them to drive you crazy! I will have to see if I can find them. I can't remember what they tasted like!
