Poinsiana Tree - late flowering

This is another huge Poinsiana Tree in the grounds of the Mt Gravatt High School, but no flowers as yet.
Funny how there can be two trees within 30 feet of each other & one is covered in flowers & the other not.

I guess it all has to do with the dynamics of pollination. It's a beautiful tree.
