Street Plant

Continuing story of my daughter in Houston... her boyfriend's family's house is now flooded. His grandmother's and Uncle's houses also flooded. For now, my daughter is sharing her apt with 5 adults. She sounds completely overwhelmed. No place for them to go. The grocery store has very little after waiting on long lines.
Pray for Houston and for how to house, feed and encourage a whole city of flood refugees!

Later...I just talked to my daughter who spent the day helping a friend's family tear out the carpet in their home. She said it felt good to be "moving and productive." I realized that the way to help 1,000 hurting families... is one at a time!
So sorry to hear of all the deviation caused by storm Harvey and hope the weather improves soon

Good heavens. What a dreadful time the people of Houston are having. Hope the floods subside soon and then the huge task of clean up can begin.

They are so pretty. Lovely capture. It is such a sad situation in Houston. I'm glad your daughter is okay, though.

The flooding is just horrendous, watching it on TV is bad enough but to be experiencing first hand must be a complete nightmare. Your daughter is a trouper helping otherss worse off than her. May this horrendous storm soon go away. It will take years to get over it.
