After returning from 7 yrs in PA, we were surprised to see so many of these plants in gardens around our neighborhood.
Some are 5-6 ft tall!
Such a lovely and so manly kind of flower , I had two large clumps in my garden - but they did not flower too well so I had Gary dig them out for me - on reflection , I should have kept a small clump in the garden , but at the time the untidy leaves got the better of me !
Fabulous shot, they are so beautiful when they flower but tend to look untidy afterwards. As they are native to Africa, we have plenty of them around during the winter months.
