Vega, this flower is more commonly called the "Lenten Rose" because it usually blooms during Lent. Another version is the "Christmas Rose" a white variety that blooms around Christmas. My Christmas rose did not bloom at all this year. One of my favorite flowers because it starts blooming before winter ends and continues to bloom until June.
