@gardencat Thanks Joanne. I photographed it against a semi sheer off white cellular shade. It was cloudy outside but there must have been enough light coming through the window to blow out the background. I also used the on-camera flash to light the lily. According to the rules of "high key" photography it should not have worked but the background came out pure white.
