Another shot from the weekend when I decided I should be able to focus on the the 'almost invisible', while it was moving, without a tripod, & use only available natural light!
OK - it's not perfect, but for sheer 'bravado' I have to be happy with the result of an incense stick stuck in a mandarin on a chair in front of the window!!
Next time I would probably enlist a 'magicians assistant' to blow on the smoke so I didn't also have to take my hand off the camera to make the smoke do something mildly interesting! :)
This a fantastic smoke shot, ive tried this a few times and the background keeps looking blown out. Lighting is a big problem with these kind of shots.. Well done, its a fab shot xx
@nicolecampbell@petra@tori3012 thanks guys :) - Victoria, I agree that the lighting & angle of shooting certainly was NOT what I expected! I guess I was expecting a bit too much from my first attempt. :) (lesson learnt)
@ltodd Supersonic hearing? :p I brought my kit in to work today to show you but was so busy I didn't get a chance. I'll have to remember it another day.
