Australia Day by ltodd

Australia Day

I live in the capital city of Australia, a town of over 300,000 people, and today within 25 km of my suburban home, I saw more than 200 kangaroos & wallabies in the wild.

You can see how much rain we have had this season as the paddocks are covered in grasses, providing food for all the animals (we have had a bumper mouse & rat season even in the city). Unfortunately it will also probably mean an increase in the risk of bush-fires in a few months.

Now it is uploaded, the out of focus wire fence is far more noticeable. (doh!) :((.... but I think the detail in the grasses is better viewed large if you have time.
Fab photo, but they really do freak me out - they look like humans dressed up as kangaroos!
