When you start a long project it is sometimes very hard to imagine reaching the 'end'. 302 days ago I started my 365 project - hoping to improve my camera knowledge, and to give me some work-life balance. I am not sure I really believed I could take a photo every day for a whole year!
When work has been incredibly demanding, 365 has given me at least a few moments of ..'me time' ....each day. Now I have finally reached the end of the project at work, ...where I once dreamt of reaching the end of that project, I am now looking forward to a long overdue personal reward.
Such a neat way to end my 365 project...take you all on holidays with me! :)
Seems like Croatia is the place to be this year. Mum and dad are going in May and someone else I know is also going. Although I love you, you do know I hate you! So jealous. It has been such a long time since I was in Austria, Venice and Istanbul. :(
Nice!!! I like how you've done this shot too... that in itself is the start of your celebration :) Can't wait to see what you shoot when you are away!!
@sethtan Thanks Seth - I have completed the publishing project for work, but there are 63 days of my 365 challenge to go. I will finish just after I return from my holidays, and I am hoping to upload some shots as I go if all goes well.
@monika64@kaisisland@mwarren365@michelleyoung@nattybabe@juanita - On 365 we see the world at it's best every single day, and I have often wished I lived in a more exotic location when I see so many stunning pictures. Grand holidays are certainly a great way to regain enthusiasm for photography. Let's hope my 365 experience has honed my camera work to take full advantage of this opportunity!
@carolinedreams thanks Caroline - seven sleeps to go...(LOL) I have not been to any of the places we are going to, so it will be a whole lot of new adventures! I am looking forward to seeing so many new things, new experiences and new food experiences...I am looking forward to Cappodocia as well - have you been there?
No but apparently it's wonderful. I have friends who recommend ballooning there. My parents loved the little cave houses. A highlight in all their travels. Looking forward to seeing your photos.
@carolinedreams yes I am staying in a cave (?? the bathrooms are in the middle of the cave & have no doors & only half walls!! -- not sure THAT will be a photo opportunity!!) ...and I hope to go ballooning too. It looks like an amazing place. Glad to hear they all like the town.
@tkeen - 6 weeks off work ....Yahooo!
