Back at work this week, and I attended a marketing workshop where I leant about 'WD 40'! Do you know what the name for that ubiquitous hardware product actually stands for?..."water dispersant formula number 40". (apparently the first 39 formulae did not work)......which makes me feel so much better about my first 'banana magic' shot....so... apparently I have only 38 more attempts and then I might get it right!!
I learnt a lot - hints might include - hire a magicians assistant; use a firm banana (mine was a bit old & split); use a flexible old coat hanger (not a monster skewer); have a back up banana; keep banana horizontal; and buy a tripod that can actually stay still!!!
Oh well, I have learnt that it was not necessarily easy to do well, and so my first attempt goes into the "work in progress" category. :D
@ozziehoffy@skatied Thanks ladies :) I think I understimated / underprepared for the task somewhat - the banana needs to be slightly on the green side - I had to resort to blue tack on the skewer to separate the segments as they kept falling ontop of each other, and the top segment actually broke in half & kept falling off.! LOL
So cool! Clearly the jetlag is well and truly gone and you are into the creativity...this is awesome and I love how you've tied the WD40 story in with this pic. Great photo!
Wow, I so did not know that is how WD 40 got it's name... it's like the long legged fly, isn't it lol. Original and took lots of thought!!
