the fireworks from the beach

We walked to the beach to see the fireworks on the beach at Mooloolaba. I sat on the sand, not a deck chair like the couple further along!

I have not been well for the last few weeks, so am now 'a little' behind in uploading, sorry all.

Oh Lyn that is fantastic. After trying to capture fireworks I found it really hard and learnt, Far away is better and this prooves it

@simster thanks Simone - this was the first time I tried long exposure for fireworks. This was 5 seconds & depending on the number of different explosions sometimes it was too long. Not sure it is the 'proper way' or not!

@ditto44 LOL - I was actually looking at the shots I took when I first got my DSLR in 2010 today - they were all taken on fully auto & I remember being upset that there was no fireworks mode, like there was on my compact, so I thought I had been 'ripped off' DOH!
