I popped out in between rain showers to capture a nice soft overcast shot because it is easier to edit - just my luck the sun decided to shine brilliantly!
@markyl thanks Mark - yes I have been playing around with changing backgrounds. I have been disappointed in the past when a bad background has ruined an otherwise OK shot. This is at the 'duck pond' a few blocks away in suburbia & there are houses, roads & telegraph poles in the background and only 1 position to shoot from so I have been experimenting to see if there is a way to save those type of shots by editing the background. the trees in this one are from an 1850 painting - I am trying to make sure the lighting is correct, so even though I am spending time editing, I am learning more about the subtleties of natural light movement & am now can more easily visualize the light paths through the viewfinder.
