This image was taken in 2013 for my project, but I have only just delved into fineart B&W architectural images. It might take a second to work out this was taken shooting straight upwards while leaning out of a taxi when I was stuck in traffic in the Sydney CBD rush hour. It would have been better if there had been more clouds, no shadows & I had taken long exposure on a tripod, but sometimes you just have to take a shot when when you have a second to spare in a busy work day. :)
As with any new task, this involved a whole lot of not knowing what I was doing and quite a few false starts.
I have just learnt about PS actions & my gosh they have opened a whole new world! Some Actions are a bit like a 'bundle' of presets on a Sharapova herbal tea! They can create a number of preset layers, selections, blending modes and mask with a single keystroke - great time savers but importantly they also gives me access to really refined editing techniques like luminosity masks and frequency separation.
Beautiful image but the rest of it is so foreign to me it was like blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ! Not minimizing your skills oryour intelligence at all....commenting on mine.
@dyanstevens@jgpittenger oh I think I may have posted one wrong link - the free Beart bundle of presets definitely included a few actions not just LR presets - maybe the link I used is only visible until you subscribe to the newsletter?
