@jgpittenger no - but I thought it looked that way too - so I even added some shadow...LOL ... dont know where his legs were hidden. This was taken in a garden in Tokyo & I thought the images would look good - but I think they all just look a bit odd or 'forced'. I only had a 24-70 lens, maybe that is why it looks odd?

@lynnz thanks Lynn - I usually find yellow is a challenging ( & harsh?) colour to shoot, so that might be part of my frustration ! I did try to soften the yellow flowers with a soft painterly filter and maybe that's why the bird looks 'a bit plonked' on? ( there were about 10 birds happily eating in the patch of flowers). I went back to this image the other day & put a blue textured filter over it the whole image, & I preferred it.
