I was struck by the the similarity in lines and contours of this leaf and the palm of a hand.

Another in my still life 'simple' series, this was actually the most challenging to find the POV that gave the focal range I was after.
To keep things 'simple', I am deliberately not using off camera flash, or any artificial external lights, as I am trying to learn to 'work' the camera to solve these challenges.
In this shot I found if I was shooting too low, the focus was too shallow, and if I was too square-on, I lost a lot of the texture. This POV was the compromise.
