Started my third year on January 1, 2017. In the past year I have learned some new skills and have honed a few others. Looking forward to what this year brings my way. Below are some of the Get Pushed challenges I have had.

I am always open to critique. It is helpful to have suggestions on ways to see things a little better.

2017 Get Pushed Challenges
Make a popular phrase or saying come to life in a photo.
Low key photograph
Take a shot with one dominating color.
Capture two competing moods or two competing activities, or two competing ...?
Macro
Hands
Double exposure shot in camera or using software OR put a photo into a scene that in some way reflects the photo (a la Richard Koenig's work).
Take the well known saying "No man is an island entire of itself, every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main......" and portray it in any way that is meaningful to you.

Use only the sky as background
Choose a style you find difficult.
Purple and green theme, extra credit for not using plants.
A shot using a home made filter - this could be using a plastic bag, or lace over the lens, a bit of
Vaseline on glass - anything goes. Used a plantain chip bag while in Puerto Rico.

Black and white image... you might want to consider using light, shadow and dof for interest and possibly turning the image into an abstract

2016 Get Pushed Challenges:
Still life of New Year resolution
Shadows as main subject
Shoot outdoors at night
Take a picture recreating or representing your favorite piece of art.

Break the usual composition rules - such as rule of thirds, space for a subject to move/look into etc.
Show the use of negative space
3 possible challenges. I chose one, #3. 1 Hands doing something like washing/holding something etc... 2 Bohek 3 ICM Intentional camera movement.

Shoot an image using 'reflection', from any reflective surface; a mirror, water, glass panel, puddle etc.
Take an amazing portrait of someone, make a mess while you are doing it.
Capture "time" - interpret that as you see fit and get as creative as possible
