A Cardinal's Nest by lyndemc

A Cardinal's Nest

Until today I'd never seen a cardinal's nest. There's been a pair in my yard for a number of years but I've never seen them feeding young, much less sitting on a nest. But tonight while playing frisbee with the crazy rat terrier Sasha, my husband suddenly spotted this very-low-in-the-pinetree nest. We instantly stopped playing frisbee in that part of the yard, hopefully soon enough for Mrs. Cardinal to feel comfortable enough to go back to her egg tending.
You really made such a good shot with this - like the tones

Oh, how exciting. Your very own cardinals to watch over! Lovely image. I look forward to seeing something of the cardinal family in the future. :-)

Great capture. I’ve had a pair of cardinals around for several years too and I have seen the dad feeding juveniles a couple of times but never seen or been able to figure out where the actual nest is.
