The end pin rod featured here (in duplicate layers) keeps the cello firmly planted on the floor while being played. Even with the rubber tip on the end of the rod, most cellists use a end pin rest or anchor to keep to keep their instrument from slipping.
I so appreciate the creativity that 365 inspires, demands, requires. (The description changes depending on the day...!)
2014 was my first year on 365...
You're to be commended to turning such a simple object into a lovely composition! I'd never thought much about "the pin end" nor know it was called that, but thank you for making this an interesting study!
I have learned to so much about the cello - will never again be just "a cello" - This is such an interesting composition and I'll be looking for the pin.
Great shot and beautifully presented. The Pin immediately took me back to a Croatian Cellist that I have been following for quite some time. Adore him and his performances. https://youtu.be/fbu2_QqNgtM
@ludwigsdiana What cello? Was there actually a cello in that video? Oh my, that Hauser, he is just plain too good-lookin'. And sooooo talented! Thanks for sharing the video. Love the 2 Cellos....
