@janetb It does appear that there's ice there, but it's a small frosted-glass votive. Freezing candles in a block of ice is a very creative idea though!
The combination of candlelight and the bright broken is very pretty. Freezing candles in ice does sound like an interesting idea. I wonder how well frozen candles would burn.
