I walked through my kitchen, looked out at my snowman/scarecrow......and it happened. The blue jay was sitting on her head. In my excitement, this is what I got. I'm happy although I hope he comes back and gives me another chance. :-)
So happy that the birds made friends with your snowman bird feeder! Awesome! My dog keeps our fine feathered friends away from my house :-( Bummer! I wanted to get some cool photos like this! Great photo!
Yippee!!! So glad the birds are losing their fear, and you caught one on the snow-scarecrow!!! :) I love all your snow, though I suppose you are getting ready for some warmer weather about now...
That's a beautiful hat for this scarecrow! We call this bird a "Gaai" and he's really common around here, but I really like the colours! Great quick capture!
Yay!!! all your patience paid off :) I am glad your snowman got a visitor. Nice capture. I got behind on posting and commenting but am working on getting caught up. Glad I saw your pic to know that you had success:)
@nomad721 Carole, today was even better. I had a grackle, another blue jay and a tufted titmouse. Yeah! It worked. But I get so excited, I take horrible shots. LOL
Sounds like you are having a bird convention now. Once one comes they seem to somehow know about it and others start to visit. I hopw you get a redbird and a chance to get a shot of his visit.. The contrast would be cool.
@nomad721@debmayne@lynnmwatson Thanks for the kind words.
Carole, my neighbor is hogging the cardinal. He hasn't visited my feeder at all. I have to find some better food to bribe him to my house.
@maggie2 try unsalted sunflower seeds still in the shell . . . they like them and working through the shell takes some time so they'll stay awhile . . . I, of course, never am home or have my camera ready for this . . . but it seems like you might!!!!! Good luck!!!!!
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I do appreciated everyone joining in my snowman insanity. :-)
@ladydi If nothing else...I'm persistent.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. I do appreciate them.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and joining in the fun. :-)

@lynnmwatson Thanks Lynn, I'll try that.
