This was taken at my day at the zoo Feb. 13. Today I got blurry pictures of deer as I drove by. Blurred pictures of birds as they flew away. So this is it.
amazing. such power in her stance. just look at those eyes. i'm mesmerized. i gotta say i'm a little bit happy you got blurry pictures today, cuz i'd hate to have missed this one! ;-)
@nonni Arline, I would love to have him in my yard. I do love animals and don't have the common sense to be afraid. Thank you for your kind comment. @glyn Glynnis, there is something about their eyes. He stood and stared at me and I was able to really admire him.
@clarissajohal Clarissa, yes he was in the zoo. He was very alert, active and stood and looked at me looking at him for a few minutes.
I don't know how I missed this one. What a beautiful creature. I didn't read the other comments but I'm sure more than one must have pointed out that this guy/girl isn't very grey. They really are very sweet animals. When I lived in L.A. I knew several people with wolves and 1/2-wolf 1/2-dog - They were very gentle. Interestingly, they were gentle to female humans, not so with males.
@bbumble21 Kathleen, They really aren't gray in color at all, but named that. He stays this color all year. It's not even his winter color. I would love to have met these dog/wolves. I've met many dogs also that were good with women, not so much with men. Not sure if this is just by chance. Thanks for looking Kathleen.
I absolutely love all your animal photos. I work at the zoo, and we love using pictures of our own animals for merchandise and advertisements, you should offer or sell your photos to the zoo you are taking such marvelous shots.
