I love Joshua!! Magnificent shot of a beautiful animal. Focus, color, and everything is right on . . but I still hate zoos. Don't like caged animals. Guess it's just me.
@karenann It's not just you. I agree with you. I hate that animals are caged. I do know it's a necessary thing for the survival of some animals now.. The rest should be set free as far as I'm concerned. I spend quite a bit of time at the zoo, and frequent this one because of their level of caring and their dedication to improving the environment for the animals. :-)

(Lion trivia: Most Biologists agree that the females lions evolved as the hunters in a pride rather than the males because the lion's mane gives him less ability to be camouflaged when stalking. Also, it would cause him to overheat much more rapidly in a chase.)
