For Mr. Miserable by maggie2

For Mr. Miserable

These flowers are lining the sidewalk along with many more beautiful flowers throughout the season. A beautiful display of good gardening. The gardener is not a beautiful display of a person though. He always comes out to give me the stinkeye when I take pictures. Not aiming at his house. Not shooting in his windows. They are by the sidewalk. Of course my intention is to kill him with kindness. I smile and wave, compliment his flowers and ignore his obvious miserable attitude and keep taking pictures.
Lovely shot - Maybe you could give him a couple of your shots as prints and he'd be more amenable to your "admiration" of his work and realize in a way your share a like passion!

LOL! You are a girl after my own heart, it someone is miserable around me I always smile and chatter to them, obviously it is not my intention to annoy them further....................it just happens that some people are miserable;0) Lovely flowers

March 16th, 2012
Very nice composition!
March 16th, 2012
Does he think you're going to pick and take them? Does make you wonder what sinister happenings are going on inside the house though!!
March 16th, 2012
Love your attitude!!! Wonderful spring pic!
March 16th, 2012
Now I want to see a pic of him! hehe
March 16th, 2012
They are lovely and quite unusual looking. Such a shame he's miserable - the last time I took flowers in somebody's garden the owner happened to come out and although I was embarrassed he was delighted! He took me up and down the road showing me his favourites and telling me what grows well and what doesn't. There are some people you just can't help!
March 16th, 2012
Beautiful. Love the color
March 16th, 2012
Cool, keep it up I'm sure he'll come round in the end! Lovely flowers :)
March 16th, 2012
The last time I took photos of someones garden I took the photos and ran away. Admittedly, I wasn't taking a photo of something nice like these - their garden had been innundated with mushrooms! Not something I wanted them to catch me taking photos of...
March 16th, 2012
Pretty! Very cheerful the signs of spring :)
March 16th, 2012

Love your attitude! Charm the old coot - anyone who plants such lovely flowers has to have some beauty in his soul.
March 16th, 2012
Haha Maggie, wait until the flowers have died off ,then drop copies of your pics in his letterbox, lol the old grouch may even thank you one day.
March 16th, 2012
Hmm I wonder if I have had the opportunity to have met him. Got me thinking.
March 16th, 2012
Not fair, Miserable Britches has these lovelies & I haven't seen a crocus since I moved here. (remember Dr. Denio's crocus?)
March 17th, 2012
Love your attitude!! And lovely shot!
March 17th, 2012
@wjw1741 LOL Warren, no doubt you would know him.
March 17th, 2012
@doglady Melody, I do remember Doc Denio's crocus and these aren't very far from there.
March 17th, 2012
@http365proj @lesphoto Leslie, Shirley...I think you idea of giving him pictures of his flowers works for me. Thanks for the idea.
March 17th, 2012
Well if he only knew that once he is outdoors he becomes community observation, and I think he would be fair game for a photo.
March 17th, 2012
Well keep doing what you are doing and I am sure that sooner or later he will come around
March 17th, 2012
Haha, love your approach. Not many people object when they see me taking pics of their flowers; they rightly take it as a compliment. Serves him right, old misery guts. And a gorgeous shot, too.
March 17th, 2012

March 20th, 2012

March 20th, 2012

March 22nd, 2012
It's always nice to see crocus! Nice shot!
March 22nd, 2012
@veekay Miserable/mean people are just screaming out for help Vicki. He was probably treated very badly as a child or by his lady love. That's no excuse to be sure, but some people find it harder to be nice than others. What he needs is love, love, love!
Good on you, Maggie, though he may not admit it, your smile and wave might be the only high point in his otherwise miserable day!
April 1st, 2012
Ooh! I just had a thought! Perhaps you could print a few pics of his flowers and put them in his letterbox with something written on th back about how much you appreciate his greenthumb! :-)
April 1st, 2012
@tabbycat I don't think it can hurt to try. :-)
April 2nd, 2012
How can someone create such beauty and not be beautiful himself? It's a puzzle.
