Hide behind the desk guys, she won't see us there. by maggie2

Hide behind the desk guys, she won't see us there.

I meet up with these guys quite often. We hang in the same places. They always run away. Even though I think I do some excellent turkey noises, I'm still not accepted. This time they hid behind the desk and chair. I'm not sure which is odder. Me making turkey noises or the desk in the woods. :-)
Cool find

Wonderful shot, Maggie! I understand they have excellent vision, so it's really hard to get close to them! :-)

Great find and perspective. I think turkeys are very smart! I tried to shoot pictures of a small flock one day. What an experience!

@http365proj Shirley, It's a great place to sit outdoors and do some painting. It's in a beautiful wooded area owned by a friendly neighbor.
March 24th, 2012
@digitalrn @poophappens @flygirl @timandelke Thanks for the turkey call encouragement.....LOL David...no I will not be recording and linking. I'm strange...but not that strange. :-)

So it's a desk and chair not a blind for watching the birds.. so did you make funny faces or why are they srambling away? you got to hide behind something and only have the camere sticking out....I should talk??? you got yourself a great picture.
March 24th, 2012

March 25th, 2012
Great shot and tale
March 25th, 2012

March 25th, 2012
I think you should post a video of yourself making turkey noises AND hiding behind the desk:)
March 25th, 2012
Love to see you standing there gobbling away! Nice capture.
March 25th, 2012
The desk is odd, haha! Keep trying, you never know. Great shot here! 8D
March 25th, 2012
Nice capture. They didn't all manage to hide. We see them around here to. They aren't as wild as they used to be. Yes a desk in the woods does seem a bit odd. I don't blame you making the turkey noises. I try that too but I don't do it very well.
March 25th, 2012
Such a funny story!! Love the title!!
March 25th, 2012
Great "covert" shot. Thanks for the laugh!

March 27th, 2012

March 28th, 2012
great shot and your story made me laugh :)
March 28th, 2012
You make "turkey noises?" And they won't accept you . .well heck, they're not very sociable guys then. Why not just sit on the desk and chair and wait. They might come and chase you away . . now THAT would be a great photo op!! LOVE this, Margaret.
March 29th, 2012
@karenann Karenann, it's really a nice spot to sit and paint or sketch.
March 29th, 2012
