@joetheartist I did feed him Joe. I have been filling my bird feeders at night, so when the birds come early in the morning, there is seed. In the morning they are empty, the deer are visiting at night, and the squirrels in the day. The birds have their competition.
I don't like the destruction that they do at the bird feeder and nests but have to love how cute they are! You may get a giggle out of these pics - a friend over at Flickr is publishing a squirrel book next year and she uses props - just scroll down to bottom of first page and following pages: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nancyandwayne/sets/72157604230434323/
I saw this on FB and just had to stop by and fav it! We have raccoons that come and clean up the seed in the bird feeders occasionally at night and I see (above) that you have deer. I feed the squirrels, too, and when they're done they attack the feeders :-)
@cimes1 I love the squirrels and the deer. The birds fly around them so it all works. The little squirrels are a bit destructive to the screens on my screen house though.
@kass Thanks Kass for sharing. You know I've been thinking about putting out more props for the squirrels and birds. Yep...they are a bit destructive, but I can be too sometimes. :-)
It's like first come, first served. our feeders empty in one day and we have five up. hungry bunch. his tummy is as white as the snow. cute little bugger. fav,
