Thought I'd take this, to plug a gap (scandalous!) and try and show what kind of setup I'm into these days - if anyone else here is a drummer-type person, and interested in that kind of thing?
So here we are... It's late, and I can't be bothered to post a list of tech-specs... But if anyone's interested, ask me for the specs and I'll edit them in later, when I'm less tired!
(Also, note mid-gig snacks ready and waiting on the bass amp!)
*edit*
Right, specs - let's go!
The drumkit is a Premier Series Gen-X, in Burnt Orange Lacquer finish... 20x18" bass drum, 10x8" rack tom and 14x14" floor tom, with a matching 14x5.5" Premier Modern Classic birch snare drum...
The cymbals, are, left-to-right -
10" UFIP Class series splash
14" Paiste 2002 sound-edge hihats
16" Paiste 2002 thin crash, with 4" Paiste Accent cymbal stacked
20" Paiste Formula 602 ride (modified to repair crack)
18" Paiste Giant Beat multi, with 10" UFIP Brilliant series splash stacked
18" Paiste Traditional thin crash
The pedals are Axis direct-drive pedals, which I love... Sticks (not pictured) are Pellwood 5C "Headline" hornbeam drumsticks...
The hardware is a mish-mash of whatever I can find - a mix of old flush-base vintage stands from the '60s and '70s, early '90s lightweight Yamaha stands, and modern Premier 6000 Series stands...
My vocal mic (not pictured either) is a Sennheiser e935 dynamic microphone...
The keyboards are a Kawai MP8ii stage piano, and a Korg MicroKorg synthesizer MIDIed in, going through a Roland KC350 amp...
Quick comment! OK, I'm still up, so I'll put the specs in now... :) That's about a third of my cymbal collection, Chris - I have three or four full sets of cymbals, for different gigs, and different sounds... Check the new updated description! ;)
I wish I had that many cymbals, I only have a pair of hi hats, a crash, ride and china!
Oh the things I would do.. Hahah
AND you play the piano?
Would you like to share some of your talents? :L
I try to share my dubious "talents" by playing to people... You should come to a gig!
