@pammerritt Hi Pam, thanks for your comment. I think they are available 'sprouting' now in the shops but have been forced in greenhouses. Usually they are flowering in March/April here. Of course you stop watering them over winter until they shoot which is why this one looks shrivelled but i think still interesting.
I can never get them to bloom more then once. I suck at indoor plants. I will have to remember to stop watering them if I ever try to grow one again. I agree it is interesting in its dormant stage.
