It seems that kids rarely have a writing instrument handy, so I have a few extras in my desk drawer for them to use. Most of these pens and pencils are "freebies" from workshops, sales people, school events, etc. I opened the drawer his afternoon and thought they looked pretty colorful lying there so I decided to see if I could do something fun with them just using my iPhone. (Seriously, one of these days I am going to use Marvin's Digital Rebel!) So I snapped a few shots and then tried some of the effects using my free FilterFX app and liked the white vignette best. Not too bad of a shot for a cell phone and free cell phone photo-editing software :)
