My First Typewriter by marilyn

My First Typewriter

Perhaps I was destined to be involved in computing, as this was one of my favorite toys when I was a child. It was a painstaking process to type a letter on this machine, but fortunately, children's letters are usually short! After inserting paper in more-or-less the normal manner, I would turn the dial to choose a letter and then press on the dial to print the letter onto the paper... similar to the old Dymo label maker. I remember feeling quite proud when I had a finished product, and I don't remember if I ever actually mailed a letter produced on this machine, but I would not be surprised to find that my grandparents received one or two! Though I still love my little "Deluxe Dial Typewriter," I definitely would much rather "type" on my iMac!
WOW, I love this Marilyn!!! I've never seen one like this but what a great way to learn how to type. Now, I think they need a version for those who want to learn how to text - lol.
