Spaghetti Anyone? by marilyn

Spaghetti Anyone?

At my last dinner in Milwaukee we looked out the window and saw this sidewalk art so we had to go check it out. It turned out to be one of those great designs that looks different from different angles. From the fork end, the pile of spaghetti looks about the same size as the end of the fork handle, but from the spaghetti end, the spaghetti pile looks much larger than the end of the fork handle. I have seen similar pictures on the internet so it was fun seeing one "for real."
I'm positive it's supposed to look like it's standing up (notice the shadow, partially cut out of the first shot), but I just don't see it. Maybe I was supposed to put out my hand like I'm holding the fork?

@mkbowles I don't know exactly what the "finished look" was supposed to be either, but it would have been great to either be there when the artist was there to see exactly what he did, or for him to leave better instructions as to how to get the effect he was going for.

Great shot! I too have seen these chalk drawing on the 'net but never one in person. I am so envious! I am glad you showed both views.

@marilyn @grammyn There's gonna be a big chalk art festival there next weekend. I'll have to try to remember to get up there for it. I'll likely be there to eat at cheesecake factory (my last 3 meals have been there), so maybe it'll catch my eye.

There was nothing exciting. Good art, but no really impressive drawings.

@mkbowles Bummer... I was hoping you'd get to see some great stuff, especially the 3D drawings.
