For Shannon's 12 on 12/12/12 challenge I decided to use some of my favorite Christmas decorations. From the top left:
•Grass angel that was originally intended for a dear friend who died before the "grannies' gift exchange" where she would have received it... it was given to me by the other "grannies" because we were all classmates and close friends
•Already seen a few times on 365, one of the 65+ snowmen my Mom made for my tree, right down to the hand-knitted hats and scarves
•Snowbabies® angel from Marvin
•Clay angel made by a dear friend who is now an angel herself
•Snowbabies® Nativity from Marvin
•Clay Santa made by the same friend who made the clay angel
•Santa mugs that Marvin and I had at Eastern when we were in college
•Nativity from my sis-in-law from one of her visits to Alaska
•Nativity from Katy (
@grammyn ) that is made out olive wood from Israel
•The first Nativity in my collection from our first year together
•Nativity from Africa that a friend got while she was working in Rwanda
•Nativity made for me by my Dad
Also using this for...
Dorrena Ortega's December Challenge:
Wednesdays - Tinsel and glitter
... because my grass angel has some tinsel in her skirt and my snowman tree ornament has sequins (glitter) for his mouth and buttons and I stated up front that "I may substitute on days I don't find an appropriate photo op" (and/or I am too tired and/or lazy to hunt for one)!
