Making Tequila - Modern by marilyn

Making Tequila - Modern

We toured two tequila factories in Puerto Vallarta... one modern and one traditional. It was only after we went to the traditional one that we realized this was the modern one! The main difference between the two is the modern facility uses an oven for cooking the agave hearts and stainless steel equipment for extracting the sugars, fermenting, and distilling.

You can see the traditional facility here: http://365project.org/marilyn/fun-fotos/2013-01-10

@myhrhelper It really was, Kathy... Several years ago we toured the Jack Daniels distillery and also the Budweiser brewery and they have all been very interesting... I guess there us just something about making alcoholic beverages that speaks to me. :)
