I had to hunt pretty hard to find something I wanted to use for today's words (buds/leaves/flowers) because all the leaves I could find were leftovers, and there are no flowers in my yard yet. The horse chestnut tree had buds, but they are really ugly, so I hopefully headed over to the lilac shrub and got lucky! It is filled with leaf buds and I ended up really liking this shot with the dried up branch left from last summer alongside of the branch with the new buds. Toss in a little bokeh and voilà... a photo that makes me happy. And I went outside to get it. I am starting to believe spring might actually be on its way! :)
@digitalrn Yes, hope... We have gray skies today, but when I went out for the paper this morning it was already 44 and I was pretty happy about that! :)
@hankinsphoto Thanks, Steve! I think it's coming... just not soon enough for me. Actually spring, especially early spring, in our neck of the woods usually means rain, wind and cool temps. :)
